Bit of dirt flying, tyres tickling the ground, bike unweighting and floating into the next section. The beauty of photography is that it captures a microsecond in time – and a good photo gets just the right moment that describes a feeling better than any video ever could.

This shot of Phil Atwill by Ben Winder is one of those images you can stare at for hours, time and time again, appreciating the fine skills and movements that go into riding a downhill bike the way Atwill does.

Perfect dream-inspiring photography for any mountain biker.

Why buy from Misspent Summers
Misspent Summers is an independent company run by passionate mountain bikers. You may think it is a small organisation, but it’s probably much smaller than you think. That’s why every single purchase makes a big difference and helps us keep the lights on, doing our work recording the history of mountain biking and hopefully inspiring people to ride more bikes.
