An action-packed season
From Fort William in Scotland to Pal Arinsal in Andorra, Leogang in Austria to Mont-Sainte-Anne in Canada, our photographers and writers were at every event capturing all the action and stories for this latest edition.
Who can forget Rónán Dunne’s first-ever World Cup win at a brand-new venue in Bielsko-Biała; Tahnée Seagrave’s return to glory in Val di Sole; Amaury Pierron’s historic run in the torrential rain in Les Gets; Myriam Nicole’s and Benoît Coulanges’ home wins in Loudenvielle; or Troy Brosnan battling the new generation in Lachie Stevens-McNab at one of the most exciting season finales ever in Mont-Sainte-Anne?
At the same time, Loic Bruni and Vali Höll were leaps and bounds ahead of the competition and dominated from the start to the end of the season to both win the elite overall titles with a round to spare.
Then there was the raw emotion as Loris Vergier got the surprise of his life and became elite World Champion for the first time in Pal Arinsal.
All the way through, the elites were being pushed harder than ever by a new wave of superstar juniors unafraid to throw themselves full speed at every track in search of greatness.
It was a remarkable year with many storylines – and all of them are packed into the pages of Hurly Burly 2024.

OUR COMMITMENT
Why we print in the UK
Hurly Burly and The World Stage are printed in the UK by trusted print partners to ensure top quality, sustainable materials and responsible practices.
Why we make Hurly Burly and The World Stage
When we started this company in 2016, our goal was to record the history of mountain biking.
Now in their eighth and seventh editions respectively (in 2020 we made Meltdown), Hurly Burly and The World Stage do just that and more: through world-class design, writing and photography they immerse the reader in the action and, we hope, inspire people to ride.
Dozens of contributors put a huge amount of time, passion and knowledge into of our print projects.
We are mountain biking’s biggest fans.
Thank you for supporting our work.
