I am lucky to meet and surround myself by passionate people who live and breathe all things mountain biking. John Oldale, who is a good friend of mine and of Misspent Summers, is one of those people.

In his industry job, Oldale keeps himself out of the spotlight while supporting and mentoring some of the greatest riders of our time. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting this giant, make sure to ask him about the time his brakes failed driving down the mountain from Pila and the subsequent road trip.

His hands serve as a permanent reminder to all: LOVE DIRT.
