Book launch
Launching in phases helps us plan production and shipping while juggling the many tasks that go into getting books to print. (We’re a tiny company and all wear various hats.)
1. We launched the Super Supporter pre-order bundle in mid-October (thank you to everyone who ordered)
2. Now we’re offering the yearbook bundle and individual pre-orders
3. Next, we’ll launch the books individually in November
4. Mid-late November we’ll add them to our Amazon store (see why below)
5. Eventually, if we figure out how, we might add an e-book version too (TBD)
Hurly Burly and The World Stage will be revealed in the second week of November.
Our newsletter audience will be the first to hear about the launch, so keep an eye on your inbox to see who’s on the covers in November.
Pre-ordered bundles will be shipped as soon as possible for you to be able to enjoy before Christmas.
Misspent Summers Amazon store
Although we’d always prefer you to purchase directly from misspentsummers.com, we will add Hurly Burly, The World Stage and Cross-Country 2025 to our Amazon store later in November.
OUR COMMITMENT
Why we print in the UK
Hurly Burly and The World Stage are printed in the UK by trusted print partners to ensure top quality, sustainable materials and responsible practices.
Why we make Hurly Burly and The World Stage
When we started this company in 2016, our goal was to record the history of mountain biking.
Now in their ninth and eighth editions respectively (in 2020 we made Meltdown), Hurly Burly and The World Stage do just that and more: through world-class design, writing and photography they immerse the reader in the action and, we hope, inspire people to ride.
Dozens of contributors put a huge amount of time, passion and knowledge into our print projects.
We are mountain biking’s biggest fans.
Thank you for supporting our work.
